There is a very unique story each one of my instruments and its sound. My instruments are profoundly affected by my teachings and personal experiences. Here I wish to tell some of the major experiences that have influenced my craft.
2017- 2019 I travelled around Spain learning from the land and people their language. Fascinated by their culture I found myself in Museums. One in particular was a breath that ignited my desire for instrument making. This was seeing part of the Romanillos-Harris Collection presented in Alicante, 2017.
I then visited guitar and violin makers in Spain, they told me to go to Newark if I had the chance.
2019 - 2022 I studied and graduated from Newark School of Violin Making, a prestigious and internationally renowned school.
In 2022 I edited a book for The Bate Collection, University of Oxford on the workshop contents of George Chanot, a famous London based violin maker from the mid to late 19th century.

In 2023-2024 I helped design and create Jonathan Hills first Resonant violin ‘The Diablo’. I contributed my knowledge on designing, building and playing the violin so we could create a sympathetic strung instrument for violinists that had the sound qualities of the viola d’amore and Hardanger violin. In his workshop I gained valuable skills on creating unique and beautiful instruments.
Before I put my tools down in Nottingham, I had the chance to work for the wonderful people at Stringers of Edinburgh. Working in their workshop offered great experience, in particular the skill of setting up and enabling the best playability and sound from any instrument.
In 2025 I look forward to being part of more great projects and meeting musician. I am currently focusing my skills to crafting professional violins and 5 string violas/violins with notable character and sound.
